AIthlete ("the app") is an AI-assisted personal training app. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Your workout history, training programs, body measurements, and chat conversations with your AI coach are stored locally on your device in an on-device database. This data is not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
By default, AIthlete's AI coaching is powered by Google's Gemini API using a key we provide, so your coach works out of the box with no setup. To generate a response, your conversation content and the profile context needed (such as your goals, equipment, and training history) are sent to Google's Gemini API under our account.
If you prefer, you can optionally configure your own API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or a compatible custom endpoint in Settings. Your key is then stored securely on your device, and your coaching conversations are sent directly to the provider you configured instead, under that provider's own privacy policy and terms.
AIthlete Pro subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing and managed with RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives purchase and entitlement information necessary to validate and manage your subscription. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
The app uses PostHog to collect anonymized product analytics (such as feature usage and app performance) to help us understand how AIthlete is used and improve it. This data is not linked to your workout content or AI conversations.
The app uses Sentry to automatically report crashes and errors, helping us diagnose and fix bugs. Crash reports may include device information and app state at the time of the error, but not your workout data or AI conversation content.
You can delete your data at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app, which removes your on-device workout history, measurements, and chat conversations. You control which AI provider (if any) receives your coaching conversations by configuring or removing your API key in Settings.
AIthlete is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
